Kevin Cox is a 24-year-old songwriter and math teacher originally from West Chester, PA. His alternative rock style draws from strong influences such as Switchfoot, Yellowcard, Twenty One Pilots, Jimmy Eat World, The Fray, and others. Kevin believes in the power of music and lyrics to make our world a better place and aims to do so with his music. His live performances, whether solo or with a full band, are marked by emotion and passion.
Upon graduating from Ursinus College in May 2015, things felt bittersweet for Kevin. He didn’t know exactly what was next professionally, and he was watching his close friends spread throughout the country and the world. While trying to move on from the positives that were left behind, Kevin also discovered the beauty in the freedom of what lay ahead and in the people he had by his side. He used this freedom and support to write his first full-length album and to pair up with Chris Cachuela, owner of Chaplin’s in Spring City, PA, to make the songs come to life in the way we hear on Kevin’s debut record, The In-Between.
Kevin has performed at Chaplin’s (Spring City, PA), The Trocadero (Philadelphia, PA), The Voltage Lounge (Philadelphia, PA), Steel City (Phoenixville, PA), The Grape Room (Manayunk, PA), and Broken Goblet Brewing amongst others.
